A Real Food Diet is an Act of Worship

I am honored to be a guest blogger today on a site I love!  Head on over to Modern Alternative Kitchen to read my post A Real Food Diet is an Act of Worship.  I spent hours in thought and prayer on this post, so if you’re so inclined I’d love to hear some feedback from you.

Though, the more I think about it, the more I think this actually serves as an excellent reminder of the importance of eating REAL food. Let’s take a look at the ingredients in this Walmart brand mayonnaise: Soybean Oil, Water, Whole Eggs, Egg Yolks, Distilled Vinegar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Contains {Read More}

What they say is true, you know.  That necessity is the mother of all invention.  And that desperate times call for desperate measures.   That’s how this pizza crust came to be.   A few nights ago, when all my children had gone to bed, and I was picking up after the day I realized I needed to come up with something for their lunches the next day.  We were low on their favorite lunch staples, and even if I {Read More}

Uh, that pretty much excludes cookies from her life.  Wait, scratch that.  There are tons of recipes available online for any food allergy or restriction you can think of.  Really!  If you’re going to have an allergy, this is the time to have one.  It is much, much easier to than it has been in the past.  However, if you’re new {Read More}

Home Remedies for the Whole Family {Part 1}

As the temperatures are dropping and germs are brewing, I figured this would be a good time of year to talk to you about home remedies.  Over time we have made the switch from the typical over-the-counter drugs to natural treatments for what ails us.  We no longer use any drug store products in our home.  We literally don’t even keep children’s pain reliever on hand.  There’s no need.  Why?  Because the ingredients and the side-effects of even seemingly “safe” {Read More}
