Quinoa Horchata

Here’s a quick festive little weekend recipe for you! Quinoa Horchata 1 2/3 cups cooked quinoa 3 cups filtered water 1 can coconut milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 rounded teaspoon ground cinnamon honey or organic granulated sugar, to taste (I used about 1/4 cup) Pour everything into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.  Chill, then serve over ice. Enjoy!  Have a happy Cinco de Mayo!

Carrot Cake Smoothies

8 ounces organic carrot juice1 large banana1/2 cup plain yogurt1/4 cup coconut oil2 tablespoons raisinsdash of cinnamon, optionalsplash of pure maple syrup or raw honeyice Blend and serve! P.S. My boys asked for thirds.

Cocoa Date Smoothie

Are you starting to see how much we love smoothies around here?  What’s not to love?  The combinations are endless, they can be a quick snack, part of a meal or a meal all on their own.  Needless to say, my blender gets a lot of mileage!
