No More Sickies Blender Smoothie
1/2 cup orange juice
3/4 cup carrot juice
1 banana
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1/2 cup spinach (when a bag of fresh spinach begins to go bad, I throw it in the freezer for smoothies)
1 tablespoon flax seed meal
1 tablespoon berry-flavored flax oil
1 scoop good quality protein powder- we use this (It’s such a great product that I actually started selling it)

I need an idea for a warm throat soother. Want to tackle that? You may delete this query.
I grate a small bit of fresh ginger into hot water. You can add lemon juice or honey too, obviously.
In addition to the commonly known anti-nausea properties, ginger is good for pain, inflamation and congestion.
And it’s yummy!
Today’s version at our house:
Leftover Naked Juice Berry Veggie, leftover Naked Juice Strawberry Banana, leftover fruit salad from last night’s dinner, leftover now-dry clementine from today’s after-school snack, leftover frozen blackberries from the freezer that died last week, and leftover won’t-make-it-to-tomorrow strawberries. And Muscle Gain.
I guess our blender smoothie was more about good use of resources. I’m sure glad I have a blender that will grind absolutely anything so I can use all these whole leftovers!
Smoothies are fun to throw together… and even more fun to drink! My smoothies this week:
Frozen strawberries
1/2 banana
Pureed/liquified carrots
1/2 avocado
A splash of V-Fusion juice
Scoop of whey isolate protein powder
Yuu-uum!
