Need an exercise plan that’s easy and fun?  I’ve got the solution for you!

A few months back a cute gal named Autumn came and gave a presentation to my MOPS group.  I’d never met Autumn before, but several other moms in the group know her and I’d heard only great things about her.

All I knew before she arrived was that she was going to talk about healthy eating and exercise.  I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t dreading the meeting a bit.

Why?  For two reasons: I don’t have a workout routine.  There I said it.  I don’t work out.  Am I active?  Yes.  I do have 4 small children, after all, and we do like to do lots of outdoor activities together as a family (our favorite right now is biking a 5 mile loop around a gorgeous local lake).  But you won’t find me at any 5:30am bootcamps or crushing it Cross Fit style anytime soon.  And so I kinda assumed that I was going to feel squirmy in my seat laden with guilt and lazy mommy self-talk.

Secondly, I subscribe to traditional ideas about nutrition (not modern, food industry-driven misinformation).  Ideas that the vast majority of “professionals” would likely question.  I was afraid I’d spend an hour wanting to plug my ears while she told a room full of moms to choose fat-free yogurt over full fat and to just burn off more calories than they consume.  (If you’re new here you should know that I’m a firm believer in the importance of healthy fats as a key part of a nutrient-dense diet.  Low-fat replacements are almost always full of sweeteners and refined fillers to replace the fat.  It’s perhaps the most damaging diet practice ever, especially for women’s hormone balance.  You should also know that I don’t and will never buy into the “calories in-calories out” myth.)

But, I was pleasantly surprised by not only how good her advice was, but also I was stunned by how cool her exercise business concept is.
